April
15, 2021 & April 28, 2020:
Nanking Cherry (Prunus Tomentosa)
An explosion of pale rose white attracts my neighboring bumblebees. I probably took 20+ photos chasing them around the bush. Thanks to those busy bees, later summer it is a race with the birds to get the delicious red berries. I highly recommend the shrub in gardens that can grow to ten feet and is "bery" hardy.
April
20, 2021 & April 30, 2020:
Azalea "Red Quest" in the morning.
This is a memorial to Lorraine Harrington, my neighbor of 30 years. I bought the property from her estate and her ashes lie there.

"Oribe".

"The flowers, foliage and seeds are edible. The flowers and leaves are usually boiled. The seed which is about the same size as a pea has a sweet taste, will remind you of a sweet chestnut. The seed is husked and ground into a powder, then boiled."
